Heat shows what eyes miss
Infrared diagnostics for buildings.
Infrared Thermal applies infrared diagnostics to envelopes, roofs and mechanical spaces, with findings confirmed by moisture and acoustic checks.
This site focuses on envelope and roof thermal work for buildings with performance problems.
What we investigate
Envelope Thermal Assessments
Envelopes fail at transitions: window frames, floor lines, penetrations. Thermal assessment shows where heat and air take the shortcuts, and where moi…

Wet insulation holds heat differently, and infrared sees the difference. Roof scans map suspect areas by section so repairs target where the water act…

An infrared camera sees temperature, and temperature tells stories: escaping water, missing insulation, air leaks and wet assemblies. The skill is con…

Water changes how a surface holds heat. Infrared finds the cold or warm signature of a leak behind finishes, then moisture and acoustic methods confir…
Read moreHow it works
- Describe the symptoms. Call or email with what you see, hear or smell, and when it appears.
- On-site investigation. Non-invasive methods narrow the search: acoustic, thermal, moisture, tracer gas or line tracing as needed.
- Confirm the source. Every clue is confirmed by a second method before it is reported.
- Written report. Findings, evidence, limitations and next steps, formatted for owners, managers and insurers.

Common questions
Is thermal imaging enough on its own?
No. Every anomaly is confirmed by a second method, because insulation, air paths and moisture can look alike in infrared.
Can you scan at night?
Roof and building scans are often best at night or early morning when temperature differences are stable.
Will you open my walls?
Only with authorization, and only when confirmation requires it. The point of thermal work is to narrow the target first.
Do you scan strata common property?
Yes, with arrangements made through the strata council or manager.
